About the Author

Born an "iron ore miner's daughter", JoAnn Kuzma Deveny was raised on the iron range of northern Minnesota. She obtained a liberal arts degree at the University of Minnesota. To her father's dismay, JoAnn put her psychology degree to use on a
35-year flight attendant profession.
While moving to seven states and working through four airline mergers, she has experienced the airline industry from puddle jumpers to jumbo jets, the Corn Palace to the Buckingham Palace, and Midwest farmers to cosmopolitan Parisians.
From this extent of expertise, she has outlined her frustrations in
99 Ways to Make a Flight Attendant Fly--Off the Handle!
A guidebook for the novice or oblivious air traveler.
Deveny's second book & award-winning, inspirational memoir, When Bluebirds Fly, is a tale of love, loss, faith, and revelation. Visit www.WhenBluebirdsFly.com
She continues her flying career and resides in Mound, MN. She is also an accompanist for local churches.
