An "iron ore" miner's daughter, JoAnn was born and raised on the Iron Range in northern Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota. To her father's dismay, JoAnn put her psychology degree to use on a 39-year flight attendant profession.
JoAnn has appeared on Fox National News, WCCO morning show, KTIS 98.5, Rudy Maxa's World, Tom Bernard Morning Show and other media events commenting on her 2 award-winning books, When Bluebirds Fly and 99 Ways to Make a Flight Attendant Fly--Off the Handle!
She has also been featured in articles in Parenting Magazine, US News & World Report and additional publications.
JoAnn's third book I Am Widow, Hear Me Roar: Reflections of a Surviving Spouse will be released in 2018.
